The transition to electric vehicles is upon us. Some time very soon, and most certainly in the next several years, the uptake of EVs by Australian consumers and fleet operators will surge.
The opportunities of this EV transition are enormous, and will have major implications for government, industry and consumers. This will involve policy makers, government institutions, grid operators, network owners, power utilities, energy retailers, and fleet owners - not to mention the incumbent auto industry, the makers of EVs themselves, the providers of smart new software, batteries, charging networks, autonomous driving technology, and - of course - the consumer.
To explore these themes, RenewEconomy and its EV-focused website The Driven are co-hosting the inaugural Electric Vehicle Transition conference in Sydney on August 26 and 27.
We have brought together an impressive line up of policy, technology and business leaders - some of the leading players and thinkers in the sector.
Please come and join us as we explore various aspects of the transition to electric vehicles in Australia.
We hope to see you there!
